Monster Hunter Wilds looks like another excellent RPG from Capcom, but fans are too distracted by Gemma the Smithy to admire the gameplay. It goes to show how much of an impact beautiful women can make in a video game, giving us deja vu of Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village.
Gemma was shown off in the most recent State of Play and quickly became a fan-favorite character, thanks to her great character design. Fans like her so much that the game’s Steam page now has “dating sim” in the tags, even though the RPG has no romance options (via Monster Hunter Jhokes).
Attractive female characters are nothing new to the franchise, but it seems Gemma already has a tight hold on Monster Hunter Wilds players. Searching for “Gemma” on Twitter will lead to a ton of fan art for the character, which is impressive since she was just revealed for the game.
We’re sure Gemma will be a fun character in the game but this shows that gamers are really down bad for these fictional women. For those unfamiliar with the term “down bad” means you’re really attracted to someone. It can mean something much worse, but you should get the message on how much fans like this character.
Monster Hunter Wilds isn’t the first time an attractive blonde gave a Capcom game plenty of attention. Street Fighter 6 fans will remember how everyone went crazy for Cammy when her official design for the game was officially revealed. Despite being less revealing than her iconic green swimsuit, the design still drove fans crazy and that stretching taunt of hers made jaws drop.
Once fans keep it in their pants, they can also see that Wilds could be one of the series’ best entries. That’s saying a lot since Rise and World were the most recent installments, both of which were great, but Wilds looks like a cool combination of both. Fans will have to wait until next year before they can get their hands on the game, but there’s a lot of Gemma art online that should keep them busy.
Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, and PC sometime in 2025.
