Someone spoke his name and he appeared. That's right, the wrestling sensation Joe Hendry is coming to PUBG Mobile in a very bizarre crossover that nobody saw coming.
The current TNA World Heavyweight Champion announced the collaboration via social media. Named the TNA Male Wrestler of the Year in 2024, Hendry has been on a shocking rise to success and popularity. The Scottish wrestler even made his debut in WWE's iconic Royal Rumble this year.
PUBG Mobile is known for being a sort of Fortnite-lite. The developers constantly seek out collaborations with all forms of entertainment and media properties. Anime fans have enjoyed series like Dragon Ball or Jujutsu Kaisen, for movie lovers they've seen Godzilla vs Kong cosmetics. The game even had an event with the K-pop group Blackpink.
The teaser didn't reveal much information about what players can expect from the Joe Hendry x PUBG Mobile collaboration. It's important to note that the crossover isn't with any wrestling promotion, but with Hendry directly, meaning he'll probably have more direct creative control over what kind of cosmetics or content is being added as part of the collaboration.

In any case, one thing is true. This is definitely not a crossover fans had hoped for, but it's definitely a welcomed one for those invested in the world of PUBG Mobile.
Will we see Joe Hendry coming to WWE 2K25 soon? Only time will tell, but it would be a completely missed opportunity not to have him in this year's iteration of 2K's franchise.
