Lordbound, a Skyrim mod that has been in development since 2014, is finally getting its release date confirmed soon.
Lordbound will bring with it an unbelievable amount of content that is likely to shake up the dedicated modding community. The developers gave an estimate of around 60 hours of content with a brand-new region to explore. You can look forward to over 50 quests to complete and 50 different dungeons to explore. The story itself will also be one of the longest ever in Skyrim. The developers have listed three main storylines you can play through, but we can expect a lot of story content.
The Lordbound mod packs enough content to compete with Skyrim's various official expansions. We can expect brand-new mechanics, spells, weapons, armour, and enemies. Another point to note is the fact that we'll be getting voiced characters and original assets. Essentially, we're getting a new Skyrim that's still Skyrim. There's enough to put it quite high up in any list of the best Skyrim mods.
Updates on the progress of the mod have been fairly scattered. Reportedly, development has cycled between being paused and resumed several times. However, the project seems to be doing fine, and we can expect a release fairly soon.
Recently, Kiria, who is working as a developer on the mode reported, “I can say with a medium-high amount of confidence that we’re targeting a late 2024 release date.”. We can only hope this late 2024 date doesn't get pushed forward like the Nintendo Switch 2 release date.
As Starfield modders leave Bethesda’s latest RPG over a lack of mod tools and a feeling of abandonment, Skyrim remains the go-to spot for modding enthusiasts 13 years after its initial release. Fallout also continues to have its dedicated modding community.
