Breakdown
- Stardew Valley 1.6 is coming out soon
- Developer Concerned Ape has shared the weirdest patch notes for the game
- Fans don't know how to feel about this update
Fans everywhere are eagerly anticipating Stardew Valley 1.6, which is supposed to update the game in a major way. Developer Concerned Ape has been vague about the update however, sharing some of the weirdest patch notes fans have ever seen, with many unsure if they’re in the game.
Concerned Ape said that they would be revealing various random patch notes until the day this patch comes out and some weird stuff was shared on Twitter. Some of the updates the dev has shared include jelly, pickles, wines, and juices being color-based ingredients, reduced push time to move your pet, and a seven-day honeymoon period that prevents your partner from being upset.
These patch notes from the Stardew Valley developer have been odd, though that is on purpose. Something major is coming to the game and these updates are the “non-spoiler” material that fans will appreciate.
It will be interesting to see just how this update affects things since fans were already getting used to their method of getting crops and romance, among other things. However, Concerned Ape has yet to disappoint fans with this game, and updates like these will ensure that this game remains relevant for a very long time.
We think it's fair to say that Stardew Valley has raised the bar for farming sims and live-service games. Most games of these genres haven’t lasted this long, showing just how strong the base game was before the updates came along. The fact that these updates just made the base game better is a testament to how good this title is with the live-service element.
Fans have fallen in love with Stardew Valley for a variety of reasons, whether it’s the interesting characters or the addictive farming. No matter your reason for playing the game, Stardew Valley will be here to stay for a long time.
