Fans are abuzz after finding out Minnesota Timberwolves star Terrence Shannon Jr. has a GTA cheat code tattooed on his shooting arm. Eagle-eyed spectators noticed the athlete's ink is the cheat code for infinite ammo in the 2004 classic, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Twitter user TWolvesLead hopped onto the social media platform and posted a screenshot of Shannon Jr. at the free throw line with the tattoo clearly visible asking if that is, in fact, a GTA cheat code. The official Timberwolves Twitter account then responded with a high-quality close-up image of the tattoo, confirming the inspiration for the body art.
Other Twitter users were quick to express their admiration for the ink with one user stating “He so real for that” while another jokingly said that Shannon Jr.’s “Accolades won’t count as long as that’s active.” Meanwhile, others have pointed out that Terrence Shannon Jr. isn’t the first NBA star to have this exact same cheat code tattooed on his body. Indiana Pacers shooting guard Devonte Green was met with a similar reaction when the masses started noticing his GTA tattoo just over a year ago.
The tattoo caught the attention of fans during the Timberwolves game against the New Orleans Pelicans on July 12, 2024. This was Terrence Shannon Jr.’s first professional game after becoming the 27th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Gamers can experience GTA San Andreas with updated visuals through the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition bundle which includes two other games in the series. You may want to make a separate save file if you plan on using any cheat codes though, since activating them will disable trophies.
