The mid-season update for the latest Warzone cycle has completely broken the battle royale.
Season 1 Reloaded is now live and instead of players loading into Urzikstan to experience the NVG Gulag and obtain the HRM-9 submachine gun, they're experiencing a version of Warzone riddled with game-breaking bugs and glitches despite the patch notes addressing numerous issues.
Typically, the rollout of a Warzone update is a smooth process but in this case, it's far from smooth sailing for those who have managed to get past the frustrating Fetching Data error.
The biggest issue Warzone fans are experiencing is a bug triggered by attempting to open the gunsmith. As demonstrated by professional player Ethan 'Fifakill' Pink, it renders the game completely useless.
As expected, fans were quick to react to the hugely frustrating stuttering and lag preventing anyone from scoring any eliminations throughout a match. One fan reports: "Loading up COD on PC doesn't even have stable frames in the menus." Another adds: "Classic COD L as always."
While many may consider shutting down Warzone and waiting for the issue to be fixed, one player believes they have found a solution to stop the stuttering once and for all. The fan reveals: "Had a similar issue when I clicked on the Warzone playlist at the main menu. 4 restarts later it's now working." If a restart is the solution to the problem, then all hope is not lost.
Thankfully, Raven Software has already announced it is working on preparing a fix for those where a restart doesn't prevent the lag from ruining matches.
Unfortunately, there's no time frame as to when this hugely frustrating issue will stop once and for all and players can receive a smooth experience when they cut their parachute at the start of a match.
