Insomniac’s Wolverine PS5 game release date leaked by artist

Insomniac has received a ton of success with their trilogy of Spider-Man games, so their upcoming Wolverine game has many Marvel fans excited. While we still don’t know when this superhero title will be coming out, a concept artist may have leaked its release window.

Hung Nguy, a Vietnamese concept artist, updated his ArtStation post (via ComicBook.com), revealing they worked on the Marvel game and it could be coming out in 2024. The post has since been deleted, but this has had fans wondering if we will be getting a new Marvel game next year.

Obviously, fans should take this with a grain of salt, as games get delayed all of the time and this could have been the projected time period. Now, with all that being said, fans are definitely hoping that we can get Insomniac’s Wolverine game next year, since they keep making great superhero games.

Marvel’s Wolverine was revealed back in the 2021 PlayStation Showcase, which was also when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was shown off. Granted, both games only had quick CGI trailers, with the Wolverine one being incredibly brief, but it could be coming sooner than we think.

Steve Blum, a frequent voice actor of the Marvel character, revealed that he was doing motion and voice work for a video game earlier this year. Obviously, he couldn’t say what the game was, but considering how many times he’s voiced Wolverine throughout the years, this could be an easy deduction.

At the end of the day, all we can do is speculate until Insomniac and Marvel decide to release some more concrete information. Right now, the only thing we know about this game is that it’s a PlayStation 5 exclusive that will star the hairy Canadian superhero. Considering the great work Insomniac did with Spider-Man 2, expectations are at an all-time high.
