HoYoverse’s Zenless Zone Zero has just released on PC, mobile and PlayStation, and players are already modding the title to bring additional lewdness to the game. While mods for the game are currently few and far between, some players are snipping skirt lengths, making chests more exposed, and more.
Zenless Zone Zero excels in its character design, but some decisions have annoyed fans that love to collect risque anime girls. For example, Nicole, a pink-haired Hollow Raider, saw minor design changes from her debut appearance that upset fans. With a slightly reduced chest size and an incredibly minor amount of additional coverage, fans rebelled against the design tweaks, crying “censorship”.
One of the first mods for Zenless Zone Zero goes in the completely opposite direction, removing almost all of Nicole’s clothes. Called “妮可泳装”, Nicole Swimsuit, the mod removes all of the character’s standout outfit design to give her a tattered two-piece that barely covers, well, anything. At least the Bangboo is there!
Another early Zenless Zone Zero mod focuses on Anby, the first character you ever play as in the game. Called “Anby(Remove accessory with shorter skirt)”, the mod does exactly what it says on the tin, slicing the length of the anime girl’s skirt to expose her underwear whenever she moves.
At the time of writing, there are barely any mods available for ZZZ, but almost all of them are focusing on providing lewder attire for its cast of anime girls. While some mods also remove eyepatches or change the male protagonist’s hair color to blue, the focus on launch is to make the game sexier.
While the lack of Honkai Star Rail’s anti-cheat means it’s easy to install Zenless Zone Zero on Steam Deck, there’s no guarantee of safety when installing mods. At the time of writing, no one has been banned for installing mods to make an already scantily-clad anime lady even more scantily clad, but there’s always a risk when installing mods in an online game.
