Nintendo announced Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp during its E3 2021 presentation. Presenting a modern enhancement of the original Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising on Game Boy Advance, that's coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
It's a turn-based strategy game, where you control a small squadron with a commanding officer in its lead. COs have special powers that turn the tide of battle, and you’ll need to balance using powers with purchasing new units to come out on top.

Nintendo announced Advance Wars 1+2 ReBoot Camp will release April 8. It includes custom map editors, along with online multiplayer and fully voiced Commanding Officers.

Nintendo has confirmed a new Direct presentation airs tomorrow on February 9. Scheduled to kick off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10PM GMT / 11pm CET, that's expected to last for "roughly 40 minutes," focus on Switch games launching "in the first half of 2022."

A prominent leaker has claimed we could see some Mario Kart news coming from a Nintendo Direct this month. This isn't the first time we've heard rumblings of a new Nintendo Direct presentation coming in February; and now, Zippo - who correctly predicted Persona 4 Arena Ultimax's re-release - advised a new Direct could happen as soon as next week.
While Zippo states they're "not sure of the content at this point in time," they believed this would feature Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, Xenoblade 3, and a new Fire Emblem. As for Mario Kart, Zippo advised:
I'm not sure of the content at this point in time, but it's safe to assume that Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Advance Wars 1+2, the heavily rumored Xenoblade 3, and a new Fire Emblem title will likely be featured in this one.

Nintendo of America announced Advance Wars 1+2 ReBoot Camp is delayed until spring. The publisher provided no additional details for why it was delayed and made no mention of when in spring we can expect it to release.
What is Advance Wars Re-Boot Camp?
Advance Wars Reboot is a collection of the first two Advance Wars games “built from the ground up” and featuring new graphics and more. That's being developed by WayForward, who are best known for the Shantae series. At the end of the Nintendo Treehouse Advance Wars segment, Nintendo confirmed the Re-Boot includes "online gameplay", supporting "up to four players".

Release Date
Originally launching on April 8th, 2022, Advance Wars Reboot has since been delayed indefinitely due to "recent world events." As such, we don't have a confirmed release window right now. Specifically, Nintendo stated:
