Jingliu is one of the best characters in Honkai Star Rail, after arriving in patch 1.4. So if you are planning to spend your Stellar Jades on her banner, we have the perfect Honkai Star Rail Jingliu build for you. Unlike other Destruction characters that have some form of self-sustain and HP sacrifice mechanics, Jingliu sacrifices your allies’ HP in exchange for a massive damage bonus.
Jingliu’s playstyle is very different from other Destruction characters so she just might surpass Seele in single-target damage. Having ascended beyond mortal concepts of victory, Jingliu chose to walk a different path to obtain the power capable of slaying gods. Therefore she is a legendary figure in the Xianzhou Luofu and we are just as excited as you to pull for her.
So let's go over Jinliu’s best light cones, relics, and abilities in this build guide. But before that, be sure to check out our Gepard build and Luocha build. They are possibly the two best defensive supports in the game and you should use them with Jingliu to offset her HP drain mechanics.
The best Honkai Star Rail Jingliu build
In order to optimise Jingliu’s damage, you want to focus on getting as much Ice damage bonus, attack, and crit stats as possible from your relics and light cone.
Best light cone for Jingliu
Since Jingliu does not reduce her own HP to boost her damage unlike other Destruction characters, a lot of the existing Destruction light cones end up being useless in her builds. But we have limited options to choose from so here are our picks:
Collapsing Sky: Increases the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill DMG by 20~40%.
Under the Blue Sky: Increases the wearer's ATK by 16~32%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 12~24% for 3 turns.
The Unreachable Side: Increase the wearer's CRIT Rate and Max HP by 18~30%. After the wearer is attacked or consumes their own HP, increases the wearer's DMG by 24~40%. This effect is dispelled after the user uses an attack.
This Body is a Sword: Increases the wearer's Skill DMG by X%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, immediately restores X Energy, and increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by %%, which lasts for X rounds.
The Body is a Sword is Jingliu’s signature light cone. Its stats are currently unknown but we know its effect from leaks. It gives her Skill Damage and Crit Damage a massive boost while also generating a decent amount of energy. It is by far her best option but it will require you to part with your Stellar Jade on the light cone banner.
Best relics for Jingliu
When farming relics for Jingliu, focus on getting as much crit rate and crit damage as possible to boost her damage. Since she can gain extra actions when she triggers her transcendent form, getting to 134 Speed is more than enough. For your Planar Ornaments, Space Sealing Station is your go-to option.
Hunter of Glacial Forest
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Ice DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: After the wearer unleashes their Ultimate, their CRIT DMG increases by 25% for 2 turn(s).
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
Space Sealing Station (Planar Ornament)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by another 12%.
