Think you’ve somehow woken up on the wrong side of the bed in Pokemon Sleep? That’s a figure of speech in more ways than one in this situation. So if you’re needing to make a new account, here’s how to reroll in Pokemon Sleep. Like any Pokemon game, there’s one solid reason why you’ll want to do this before settling down with your Snorlax.
There’s rarely been a time in the 20+ years the franchise has been around that we haven’t found a reason to start a new save in a Pokemon game. Pokémon Sleep is no different. Thanks to its reliance on collection systems, there’s a couple of reasons you might want to consider rerolling a new account in Pokemon Sleep. And we’re going to break down how to do it.
How to reroll and make a new account in Pokemon Sleep
Rerolling in Pokemon Sleep is a simple affair. Rather than having to wait for a few hours to hit a point that justifies trying again, the reason for rerolling arrives after a brief chat with the in-game professor.
If you’ve decided to reroll in Pokemon Sleep, all you need to do is tap into a few menus. From the Snorlax screen, do the following:
- Tap ‘Main Menu’
- Tap ‘Settings and More’
- Tap ‘General Settings’
- Tap the ‘Other’ tab
- Scroll down and tap ‘Delete My Account’
- Tap ‘Delete Account’
Note that deleting a Pokemon Sleep account can take upwards of 24 hours. It’s usually instant, but it’s just something to keep in mind.
With your account deleting, you should be able to create a new one when you next launch the game. If this doesn’t happen, you can try using the top-right button on the launch screen to delete the game data and delete the game from your device. A redownload should solve any issues and prompt you to make a new account.
Should you reroll in Pokemon Sleep?
Because Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep can be shiny, it might be worth rerolling for a Shiny Pikachu or Snorlax really early on. It doesn’t take long to delete and make a new account. You’ll save time farming for a Shiny Snorlax this way rather than sleeping your way to one.
Likewise, if the Pikachu or Bulbasaur you get at the start can be shiny, you may want to reset your Pokemon Sleep account until you get a shiny version of one of these, too. Aiming for all three is virtually impossible, so just set your sights on one and play regularly to get others.
