September 6, 2022: YuGiOh Cross Duel is out now. Here are the cards you can't use.

If you're familiar with the game of YuGiOh or most TCGs for that matter, then a banned list is something that you're used to. For the brand new mobile game YuGiOh Cross Duel this will also be something to get used to.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel takes the traditional format of Yu-Gi-Oh! and turns it on it's head, introducing an interesting multiplayer aspect to the game. You'll get to battle with some of the game's most iconic monsters in a four player match of card game meets strategy board game.

YuGiOh Cross Duel forbidden and limited list

Banned None
LimitedNone
Semi-LimitedNone

For the moment there are no cards announced that are on the Forbidden and Limited lists.

While there are these lists for other YuGiOh titles, we haven't seen much of a meta evolve yet, so Konami has not seen fit to put anything on the list. It's possible that the game will launch with a modified version of either the TCG or OCG lists, in which case this will fill up quickly.

Be sure to check back once the game has launched to find out what cards are on the list.

What is the YuGiOh Cross Duel forbidden and limited list?

The Forbidden and Limited list is something that's very common in YuGiOh across mobile and tabletop games.

Cards on the Forbidden list cannot be used in decks for events, or in mobile game decks for play. Limited List means that the card is limited to a single copy that can be used, while Semi-Limited means that only two copies of the card can be used in a deck.

Cards on these lists can range from main deck monsters, spells and traps, to extra deck synchros, fusions, XYZ and link monsters. On top of that, if a card is on the limited or semi-limited list, the total number of copies used counts the sideboard, as well as the main deck.

YuGiOh Cross Duel forbidden and limited list predictions

While we're unsure of what cards are in the full game exactly, we can throw a few predictions around. If these cards exist, then there's a good chance that they'll be on the forbidden or limited lists.

  • Cyber Jar
  • Fiber Jar
  • Heavy Storm
  • True King of All Calamities
  • Imperial Order
  • Delinquent Duo
  • Graceful Charity
  • Pot of Greed

While there's plenty more that could be here, these are a few of the game's most iconic offenders and ones that have been on the banned list for a little while. It's also possible that this game's list could be based on Master Duel or Duel Link's Forbidden list, though those are pretty different.

And that's all that we have for you! Be sure to check back, as we'll keep this updated with any cards that go on or come off these lists. While you're here, be sure to check out what's coming in the latest Legends of Runeterra patch.
