Pokemon Go has its share of elusive and rare Pokemon that you can't normally find in the wild. Instead you're reliant on eggs to have a chance at adding these Pokemon to your Pokedex. Vullaby is one such Pokemon, but luckily you have a chance to catch a Vullaby in the recent event.
If you're looking to catch Vullaby and add it to your team, we'll go over all the available methods during the current limited time event and all remaining methods once it's over. We'll also go over Vullaby's evolution and if you can capture Shiny Vullaby.
While you're here, be sure to learn how to complete the Verdant Wonders challenges, and London Games Festival challenges and rewards.
How to catch Vullaby
There are three methods to get your own Vullaby in Pokemon Go:
- Hatch it from 12km eggs
- Complete the Timed Research Task ” World of Wonders: Taken Over 1/2“.
- Complete the World of Wonders: Taken Over Field Research Tasks
Vullaby is a relatively rare Pokemon and normally you can only get one through 12km Eggs. However, you can get Vullaby eggs during the Team GO Rocket Takeover event which takes place between Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 12 AM to Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM (local time).
To get the Vullaby egg reward, you need to complete the Field Research Tasks to “Defeat 4 Team GO Rocket Grunt” and “Defeat 8 Team GO Rocket Grunt”.
Another method to get a special Red egg with a chance of hatching a Vullaby is to defeat any of the Team Go Rocket Leaders. Doing so will net you a special red egg, which has a chance of hatching Vullaby, Larvitar, Scraggy, and Trubbish.
Can you catch shiny Vullaby
Yes, Shiny Vullaby and Mandibuzz are both available in Pokemon Go, and you'll have the standard 1/500 chance of encountering either of them.
Vullaby Evolutions
Vullaby evolves to its final evolution Mandibuzz if you feed it 50 Rare Candy. They are both Vulture Pokemon with the Dark and Flying type attributes.
