Persona 5 is being removed from the PS Plus Collection on May 11, making it the first game leaving the scheme. Confirming the news on PlayStation Blog, Sony noted this would be the last chance for PS Plus owners to download the acclaimed JRPG through the scheme for free.
If you've already downloaded Persona 5 through the PS Plus Collection on PS5, Sony advised you'll be able to redownload it with no issue. Naturally, that's providing you stay subscribed, as you'll lose access to it and the rest of your Plus library if that lapses.
Persona 5 Leaves the PS Plus Collection on May 11
If you're not interested in PS Plus, Persona 5 is readily available through Sony’s Greatest Hits initiative, so gamers can pick up one of the best JRPGs ever for $19.99. Atlus and Sega also released an expanded version called Persona 5 Royal back in 2020, which significantly extends the campaign and adds new quality-of-life features.
Both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal are available now on PS4, with backward compatibility making both titles playable on PS5. Diehard fans can also get Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which recently re-released on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
