Where Is Amity Square
In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Amity Square will be located north of Hearthome City, and there are two gates that can be used to access it.
Shown on the map above is Amity Square's West Gate, which is in the upper right corner of Hearthome city. Then, as you could expect, the East Gate is located in the upper left corner of the city. Either gate can be used to enter and exit Amity Square.
What To Do in Amity Square - New Features
First and foremost, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's Amity Square is an opportunity to go for a stroll with your cute Pokémon and spend time with them. These strolls will raise their happiness levels and ultimately improve your bond with them. Using the right analog stick, players can also tilt and zoom their camera's, meaning that the Amity Square is the perfect opportunity for a photoshoot with your favourite Pokémon.
You can only choose one Pokémon to walk with you, but if there are more eligible Pokémon in your party, they'll be strolling around Amity Square too. You can use the '+' button to call for them to gather, and press it again to allow them to continue to do their own thing. Also, by interacting with your Pokémon as they each wander around the gardens, they'll even find and give you berries that you can use on them in battle or to make Poffins.
In Amity Square, there is also an area where those berries can be put to good use, and you can make some Poffins. The difference between Hearthome City's Poffin House and the Amity Square Poffin maker is that in the gardens, your Pokémon will watch as you create the Poffins! The Pokémon will react according to how your Poffin making is going, so you'll want to ensure the Poffin doesn't burn in order to keep them happy. We talk more about how to make Poffins in our guide to Super Contest Shows.
In addition to this, the first time you visit Amity Square is also an opportunity to get your hands on four items: the Amulet Coin, the Spooky Plate, the Attract TM, and the Volt Switch TM. The Volt Switch TM is hard to miss, as it'll be in front of the Square's fountain, and the Attract TM is just behind the Poffin maker. The Amulet Coin — which is a great way of making more money — is located in the left-most stone ruin at the back of the gardens. Finally, the Spooky Plate will be in the right-most stone ruin. It's also important to note that if you find these items elsewhere in the game, they will not reappear in Amity Gardens.
