Need some help figuring out how to catch Bagon in Pokemon Go? We’ve got some tips that will help you add this Pokemon to your team.
Bagon is a Dragon-type Pokemon that made its series debut in Generation 3 and found its way to Pokemon Go in 2018. It evolves into Shelgon, which can then evolve into Salamence.
The Pokemon franchise has introduced the world to hundreds of colourful creatures that trainers can catch and battle with. To collect more of these Pokemon, you can check out our guides on how to catch Kleavor and how to catch Litten.
How to get Bagon in Pokemon Go
Bagon can be found out in the wild so you can catch one the same way you would most other Pokemon. That being said, Niantic has confirmed that Bagon will be featured in the April Community Classic.
As part of the event, the Dragon-type Pokemon will have increased spawn rates out in the wild on April 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in your local time. When trainers evolve their Shelgon into a Salamence during the event, the Pokemon will learn the Dragon-type charged attack, Outrage.
So, be sure to take advantage of this event to stock up on those candies and get a Salamence with a powerful attack.
Can Bagon be shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, shiny Bagons are available in Pokemon Go. Their bodies are predominantly green rather than the typical blue.
This is another great reason to participate in the event on April 7 since shiny Pokemon are quite rare. The increased spawn rates for Bagon will give you a better chance of finding and catching a shiny one.
