How to get Espeon in Pokemon Go
You can catch an Espeon after finding one out in the wild, but you’re better off evolving one of your Eevees into the psychic Pokemon since encountering one is pretty rare. There are two ways to evolve your Eevee into an Espeon.
The first method simply requires you to name an Eevee “Sakura”. Doing this will cause the Evolve button to appear with an Espeon silhouette. Do keep in mind though that using the name trick to evolve an Eevee can only be done once, so you’ll have to use the alternative method to get its other variations.
The other way of evolving Eevee requires a bit more work. So if you’ve already used the naming method or are saving it for another Eevee evolution, here’s what you need to do:
- Choose an Eevee you wish to evolve.
- Set this Eevee as your walking buddy.
- Walk a total of 10 KM with this Eevee.
- Feed the Eevee 25 candies during the daytime.
After that, you should have your very own Espeon in Pokemon Go. Just remember to feed the Eevee candy during the day. If you feed the Pokemon at night, it will evolve into an Umbreon instead.
Can Espeon be shiny in Pokemon Go?
Yes, Espeon’s shiny version is available in Pokemon Go. But, as you’re likely already aware, finding shiny Pokemon is quite rare and Espeon is no different.
When an Espeon is shiny, its Lilac-coloured fur is replaced with bright green. Its eyes and the gem on its forehead remain the same colour.
