How to catch Pokemon Go Rotom

Rotom isn’t found out in the wild like most other Pokemon in Pokemon Go. To catch one, you’ll need to participate in the Ghost in the Machine special research quest. This quest is accessed by entering a code into the official Pokemon Go website.

Unfortunately, this quest was part of the Sinnoh Tour 2024, so it is no longer available. So to add Rotom to your collection, you will likely need to wait for another similar event that features the Electric/Ghost-type Pokemon.

Can Rotom be shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, Rotom can be shiny in Pokemon Go. However, finding one will be extremely difficult since this particular Pokemon is already a rare find.

Shiny Rotom stands out from its brothers and sisters by having a vibrant pink body and yellowish lightning bolt appendages. Rotom also comes in several forms such as Mow, Wash, and Frost in Pokemon Go, all of which need to be captured separately.
