How to get Sneasel in Pokemon Go

You can get a Sneasel in Pokemon Go after encountering one in the wild, during a 1-star raid, or through hatching a 7 KM egg. Sneasel is considered a common encounter in the game, but some players still have a hard time finding one.

There have been reports that Sneasel are more commonly found in urban areas at night, but this has yet to be confirmed. Either way, be sure to have an ample supply of PokeBalls when out looking for the Dark/Ice-type Pokemon.

Can Sneasel be shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, shiny Sneasel has been in Pokemon Go since 2019. Its body is covered in pink fur with its one ear and tail being yellow, a huge change from its typical green and orange/pink scheme.

If you come across a Sneasel that’s mostly white and purple then you’ve encountered its Hisuian version. This Sneasel also has a shiny version that’s green and yellow.
