Pokémon Legends: Arceus has brought players all the core components of any traditional Pokémon title and added a breath of fresh air to them. With fewer menus, more land to roam, and new ways of catching and battling Pokémon, the game has transformed the Pokémon formula that fans are used to. This even includes how you change your Pokémon party.

This makes a great change of pace, but with most actions being done a little differently and technology that we're used to not being yet available in ancient Hisui, each of us have run into some questions while playing, and trying to switch up our party of Pokémon has been one of them.

For example, you've ended up with a party of Bidoofs, and now it's time to face a Noble Pokémon, such as Kleavor. You need to switch up your party, but how, when there are no PCs? The answer is simple; here's how to change your party in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

How to Change and Switch Your Party in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Sadly, the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus doesn't have the PC's that we're accustomed to visiting whenever we need to make a change to our party. Instead, we have Pastures and Base Camps to aid us with this. How you change your party using one of these isn't so obvious initially, though.

Pastures

Once you've unlocked Pastures in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you'll have access to eight of them that each have 30 slots in them to store Pokémon. As you progress with the main storyline and increase your rank with the Survey Corps, the amount of spots available in each Pasture will increase, too.

To change your Pokémon at a Pasture, simply speak to Marie. Marie is the NPC who watches over Pastures and looks after the Pokémon within them, and she will also aid you with changing your party!

Base Camps

If you're out in the field and are closer to a Base Camp, it might be easier to drop by and pay a visit to the Security Corp you can find here. By speaking with this NPC, who will be to the left of Professor Laventon, you can select 'I want to see my Pokémon'. From here, you can then see all the Pokémon you have caught and change around your party as needed.

That's all you need to know about making any changes to your party of Pokémon before going into battle in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. For more, check out how to tackle both Noble Pokémon and Alpha Pokémon, and keep our type-chart to hand, so you know how to counter every 'mon!
