Every kid or was-once-a-kid is familiar with Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, and has witnessed Mrs. Tweedy's cruelty towards Ginger and the chickens in Chicken Run.

Aardman Animations, the studio behind these wonderful creations, has made its mark with many popular kids' shows and films. If you love their movies and Pokémon, you're in for a special treat—The Pokémon Company recently announced a claymation project in collaboration with Aardman Animations.

Posted on X, @Pokemon announced that the new project will come in 2027. There is no news about the plot or story of this project, but considering how Pokemon Concierge did well, The Pokemon Company might be capitalizing on its success and plans to release more media using stop motion and claymation to its audience.

Excited Pokemon fans are ecstatic about this news. In a recent Reddit post, one fan stated "We're about to experience absolute cinema. Another fan even commented that they wanted humans to look like Wallace in the Pokemon claymation project.

Seeing a Pokémon trainer make the same grimace as Wallace when they hear the enemy trainer shout 'Use Fire Blast!' will be both legendary and fun.

The excitement didn't stop there, however. Many fans have already started creating their own Aardman Animations x Pokemon mashups, and one fan hilariously created an Empoleon with a chicken comb. Absolutely perfect.

As for the games, Nintendo hasn't announced anything about the new Pokemon games yet but we might see some updates about the Nintendo Switch 2 during The Game Awards.

Nintendo has also recently acquired 100% shares of Monolith Soft, the developers behind the Xenoblade franchise. With this stronger partnership, we might possibly see a Pokemon game using the Xenoblade engine in the near future.
