As Pokémon continues bringing new additions to the trading card game, fake versions of these physical cards are still rampant . Earlier today, more news about a counterfeiting operation came to light in China.
According to Nintendo Life, Chinese outlet Yicai Global tweeted that around 20 boxes of fake Pokémon cards were spotted by Shanghai airport officials. The cards weighed more than 7.6 tons, intended for shipping to the Netherlands.

Even with the presence of physical cards, Pokémon TCG has also launched an online medium since 2011. Known as Pokémon TCG Online, the game allows players to collect cards and build their own decks in a virtual collectible space, letting players fight each other worldwide.
A new app, known as Pokemon TCG Live is planned as the game's successor, which will launch once The Pokemon Company shuts down the older TCG online game. An online beta begins in 2022, so make sure to follow us for more gaming news and updates as it happens.
