PlayStation is working on a Game Pass-style subscription service that combines PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now features and includes a library of PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP titles, a new report from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier says. The feature is codenamed Spartacus, and Bloomberg's sources, which requested anonymity, showed them design documents that suggest the service will eventually replace PlayStation Now.
"Eventually" is key, as Schreier said Sony has yet to finalize details about Spartacus.
They also say Spartacus is a tiered service that will run on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The first tier is essentially PlayStation Plus, with monthly free games and online features such as cloud saving, while the second tier is said to have a robust catalogue of games from both PS4 and PS5.

Sony Could Be Developing a PlayStation Game Pass-Style Service
This is, presumably, modeled after Xbox's Game Pass catalogues, though Schreier said subscribers shouldn't expect to see all of Sony's new releases added to the service at launch.
The third tier would reportedly include game demos, games available for streaming, and a library of classic games from the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP. Schreier didn't say whether these would be available for download or only accessible via streaming, though.
Earlier in 2021, Sony CEO Jim Ryan suggested the company was developing its own alternative to Xbox's Game Pass. Sony didn't make an official comment to Bloomberg, so as of now, this is still technically a rumor.
