As you play Rainbow Six Extraction, you take on the role of an Operator for REACT, venturing into various Containment Zones to collect intel on an alien threat. While you'll spend time collecting biopsies, planting bombs, and rescuing MIA's, you'll have to fight Archæan mutants off with your squad. Some of us insist on doing this in style, however, and that's where skins and cosmetics are involved.
In this guide, we explain how to get new skins and cosmetics for your gear and your Operators in Rainbow Six Extraction.

How to Get New Skins and Cosmetics
While some cosmetics, such as weapon charms, can be earnt from natural progression in Rainbow Six Extraction, most cosmetics and skins will boil down to purchases from the in-game store with real-life currency. An exception is gear that is awarded for competing in ranked modes, such as the endgame mode, Maelstrom Protocol.
Skins for Operators and your weapons can be bought in bundles or individually using in-game currency from the 'Shop' tab in the games main menu. Similarly to Rainbow Six Siege, Rainbow Six Extraction uses Credits as its in-game currency. More specifically, these are called REACT Credits, and can be bought in bulks of varying prices ranging from $9.99 to $49.99.
Skins and cosmetics are on a featured rotation in the shop, with the selection changing every couple of hours. Extraction features particularly fun and outlandish cosmetics, with many having a sci-fi and dystopian theme to them. A particularly odd favourite is the Sphynx bundle for PULSE, that turns the Operator into a glamorous, hairless cat.
We'll update this space with more information if we encounter any other ways to acquire new skins for your gear, or something more outlandish than PULSE's Sphynx cosmetic. In the meantime, check out our guides on how to level up fast and how to use the Codex, to make sure you're getting the most out of your experience of Rainbow Six Extraction.
