Capcom has revealed PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 are launching later this year. Players who already own PS4 and Xbox One versions can claim a free next-gen upgrade, ensuring that all Resident Evil fans are covered.
Offering undefined "visual enhancements," Capcom also confirmed that the PC editions are getting a similar graphical enhancement patch. That'll arrive alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series versions, meaning no lengthy waits for PC players.
Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 Receiving Next-Gen Updates This Year
Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 7 are often ranked as some of the best entries in the series. While Resident Evil 3 Remake didn’t get the same acclaim as its predecessor, facing criticism for a lack of replay value and its multiplayer mode, many fans still rate it as it sold well.
No release dates for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 have been announced, just that they'll arrive later this year. Otherwise, you can pick them up now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
