New rumours have surfaced regarding Capcom's alleged Resident Evil 4 remake. Claiming Capcom will announce it later this year, changes might made to the story’s tone. This time, that comes from a Fanbyte report, which outlined hopes for Shinji Mikami, Resident Evil 4's original director, to return.
Reportedly, this remake would've been worked on by M-Two, who handled the Resident Evil 3 remake. Capcom hoped Mikami would return to work with old friend Tatsuya Minami. However, Mikami reportedly felt that his studio, Tango Gameworks, would fall apart without him, leaving the Resident Evil 2 Remake team to work on this new project.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Reportedly Being Announced This Year
Beyond this, Fanbyte state Capcom is hoping to make Resident Evil 4 Remake creepier than the original game. Allegedly, a good portion of this game is now set at night and certain support characters will get bigger roles, something we saw in the Resident Evil 2 remake.
The Assignment Ada and Separate Ways campaigns could also be expanded, giving Ada Wong a bigger role in this remake. Resident Evil 4 Remake is reportedly being announced sometime this year. In the meantime, fans can play Resident Evil 4on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, PC, and a VR version on Meta Quest 2.
