May 13, 2022: With Update 5 out now, it's time to finish up the Scavenger Hunt and get Sailor Tails before the next new character arrives. It's looking like it's Amy.

The great Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt has arrived to see off the month of April, and it just so happens to answer the question of how to get Sailor Tails in Sonic Speed Simulator as well. Perhaps implemented as a belated Easter update - who doesn't like a good scavenger hunt in the spring? - it's the first time a new character has come from something more than a single card unlock or Sonic Speed Simulator codes.

Down below, we're going to fully explain how to get the Sonic Speed Simulator Sailor Tails skins and how to quickly complete the Scavenger Hunt if you happen to have trouble.

How Do I Get Sailor Tails in Sonic Speed Simulator?

You can unlock Sailor Tails in Sonic Speed Simulator simply by participating in the Scavenger Hunt event released on April 30, 2022.

In it, you're tasked with finding 100 Sailor Tails keycards scattered throughout the game. They're not always available, though, and they disappear and reappear throughout each zone every 10 minutes or so. Simply put - the faster you go, the faster you'll be able to collect them.

Where Are the Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt Items?

Unlocking Sailor Tails means knowing where to find the Scavenger Hunt items. The Omochao at the spawn zone will tell you all about these, but you don't need to talk to them to get started.

To begin finding the Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt items, you'll want to start by looking out for the notice in the left-side of the screen that tells you when and where the Scavenger Hunt items have spawned.

There's no sound for when the event kicks in - or even any way to check when it's begun - so to save yourself from cycling between worlds looking for them, it's best to just grind out levels until the notice pops up telling you of where the Scavenger Hunt items have spawned.

Get yourself down there, and you'll have around five minutes to grab as many as you can before they disappear for another five.

The Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Event takes place every ten minutes for five minutes.

Where Is the Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt?

The Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt can happen in one of three zones: Green Hill, Lost Valley, and Emerald Hill.

Sonic Speed Simulator Scavenger Hunt - Three Tips for Getting Sailor Tails Fast

Don't rebirth if you max out

A lot of the Scavenger Hunt items are in high places, and given they disappear fast, rebirthing will make you too slow to gather them for a while

Don't neglect the ground

Just because you're fast enough to reach the Scavenger Hunt items in high areas, that doesn't mean you should aim only for them. Places like Green Hill Zone have most of the items on the pathway routes. If you spend too much time chasing the ones high up, you'll miss the easy ones below

Use loops to get up high

If you're struggling to reach the high places, you can spin-dash at the corner of a loop to gently glide onto the top of it. From there, you'll be able to run and jump to other high-up places.

What Level Do I Need to Be to Get Sailor Tails in Sonic Speed Simulator?

You don't need to be any specific level to unlock Sailor Tails in Sonic Speed Simulator. Being a high enough level to unlock Lost Valley will certainly make it easier and faster, but with Green Hill Zone spawning the Scavenger Hunt items from time to time - and mostly on the ground - even new players will have a chance to unlock Sailor Tails. It'll just take a bit longer.
