When you walk around Skyrim today, odds are you see a lot of familiar faces.
Whether it’s someone who played a bit part in your slaying of Alduin, an innkeeper that’s served you thousands of rounds worth of Nord mead over the years or just plain old Nazeem, almost everyone you can run into brings back fun memories for long-time players.
However, if you’re starting to get a little sick of running into the same old cast of characters, or just want to pretend you’re in a Hollywood blockbuster instead, a series of new mods might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Your Dreams of a Big Budget Elder Scrolls Experience Have Finally Come True
That’s right, your Skyrim experience can now come with some fresh celebrity cameos courtesy of modder Norman46spear, with a few actors and musicians having accepted new roles that’ll no doubt revitalise their careers.
The first of these famous faces can be encountered by heading to the beautiful central city of Whiterun, a place you’ve likely passed through so many times you know every NPC off by heart.
However, this time, if you’ve got the mod “Will Smith” installed, make sure to stop by the market, where you might find the fresh prince of Bel-Air chilling out near the well.
Make sure to say yes if he asks you to get jiggy with it too, as Mr Smith is a level 20 mage with the power of the unrelenting force shout also on his side, so you might get the Chris Rock treatment if you turn him down.
While you’re in Whiterun, also make sure to head to Dragonsreach, where you’ll find that Jarl Balgruuf looks a little different, with country musician Kid Rock having taken his place, assuming you’ve also installed the mod “Chillin The Most”.
Moseying on down to Riverwood after you’ve finished chatting about provincial politics and cheap beer with Mr Rock will take you back into the Hollywood acting sphere as if you’ve opted for another of Norman46spear’s mods, called “Ryan Reynolds”, the star of Deadpool and Red Notice will be hanging out in the Sleeping Giant inn.
Starting at level 20 and wielding the Dawnbreaker sword, trying to add Reynolds’ name to your list of defeated Skyrim foes isn’t advised, but hey, if you check with the Dark Brotherhood, maybe someone will have put a price on his head to make the battle worth the risk.
If you’re more of a thief than an assassin, another celebrity will be waiting to greet you next time you saunter into The Ragged Flagon, assuming you’ve got the mod “Dirge Replacer” on your system.
The thieves guild is a bit like a big, dysfunctional family and this mod definitely adds to that illusion by making Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel the doorman at Skyrim’s sketchiest tavern.
So, get your autograph book ready or prepare to pitch your killer screenplay, jump in and also make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the wacky world of Skyrim modding.
