How to Tag Enemies in Sniper Elite 5

There are three different way to tag enemies in Sniper Elite 5, each one working a bit differently. We'll run through each of them in more detail down below:

  • Using your weapon's scope
  • Using binoculars
  • Unlocking a skill that tags enemies when they shoot you

The first and easiest way to tag enemies is to aim at an enemy using the scope of your rifle.

After a second or so of aiming at an enemy, a small white circle will start to fill in until a tag is placed above their head. The tag will last for a while, but not forever, so be sure to keep checking back to their locations.

While it's not as simple, using your binoculars is probably a better way to tag enemies in Sniper Elite 5. To bring them out, just press R3. Tagging is done in the same way as with a weapon - just aim the reticle at an enemy, wait, and you'll see the marker appear above them.

Thankfully, with the binoculars, the actual tagging process is quicker, with the circle filling up in far less time. The tags also remain for a little longer, which is nice.

Finally, you can also unlock a skill, called Advanced Triangulation, which marks enemies for you automatically when they shoot you. The mark is red and stays on your target even longer, helping you track them easily when you're in the middle of a firefight.

No matter which option you go for, be sure to tag enemies as often as you can in Sniper Elite 5. It'll help you stay alive in the long run. For more guides, tap that blue link at the top of this guide to jump straight to our launch day hub.
