Many players have been having a rough time with the PC port for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, with many claiming that it’s performing below expectations. Like a good number of game releases, it seems that Stranger of Paradise was optimized for consoles if these complaints are anything to go by.
Fans on the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin subreddit (via VGC) have called the PC port “horrendous” while other gamers on Twitter have also pointed out some odd optimization options that were taken. It seems that this is a really messy PC port from the devs and some serious updates will be needed to make the game more playable on gaming computers.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin PC Port Criticized Online For Poor Optimization
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Square Enix released an unsatisfactory PC port. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade was released on PC to poor reviews, as was Nier Automata a few years back. Hopefully, some patches will make Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin a better experience on PC in the near future.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is coming out on March 18, though players that buy the Deluxe Edition get three-day early access on March 15. While the game is available on PC through Epic Games, players may want to stick with the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series versions.
