Two of streaming’s biggest names are set to converge in Fortnite this week, with a whopping $100k on the line.
Ninja is set to compete for the money, which is the grand prize awaiting the winner of a ‘Hot Shot Duo Drop’ event being hosted by Dr Disrespect, alongside a slew of other popular streamers.
The blue-haired one’s inclusion was announced via a tweet from the esports and content creator platform BoomTV, which Dr Disrespect has retweeted.
Ninja to Compete in Dr Disrespect’s Upcoming Fortnite Tournament
Among the other creators currently slated to be joining Ninja in the quest for money are Timthetatman, Dr Lupo, and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, with more competitors likely to be revealed as the event’s date of May 27 draws closer.
The event will consist of 2v2 elimination races in Fortnite’s zero build mode, with gun skill being the key to success, something which Ninja has plenty of, having recently evaluated Fortnite’s new LMG on stream.
You can catch the action via Dr Disrespect’s YouTube channel, where it’ll be streamed, though if you’re after a specific creator’s point of view of proceeding, odds are they’ll be streaming too.
Highlights could also appear on Ninja’s YouTube channel, with the streamer having just announced the hiring of a new editing team for his videos on the platform via his Twitter account.
Dr Disrespect, real name Herschel Beahm, has also made the news recently for seemingly teasing his own Lego set and being called out for an influencer boxing match by YouTuber Harley Morenstein, as well as via a roadmap released by his game studio, Midnight Society, for their upcoming game.
Ninja, meanwhile, has recently seen his iconic skin return to Fortnite’s item store and also revealed what happened to his planned involvement in an EVO Super Smash Bros tournament back in 2019, during a poker live stream featuring fellow influencers Ludwig and MrBeast earlier this month.
