While some of these tips may sound too obvious, a lot of people think that mashing their way through Street Fighter 6 ranked mode will net them good results.

Once they hit a wall, they'll discover that, just maybe, you need to actually follow these new player tips to improve in Street Fighter 6!

Give World Tour a chance

Even if you're not interested in the story mode for a variety of reasons (maybe you just want to get down to business or are a seasoned veteran that has their mind set on finding optimal combos), World Tour is worth exploring.

If you want to dip your feet into how Street Fighter 6 works, there are plenty of gamified tutorials for you to tackle, with mini-games and side quests all rewarding you for your efforts.

Even if you know how to throw a fireball, World Tour Master bonds are a great way to get to know characters, unlock some great exclusive artwork, and what's even better, all alternative costumes available in Street Fighter 6 for free!

Find the right button configuration

Check out the character guides

The regular tutorial in Street Fighter 6 is a very in-depth look at the game's mechanics. However, if you find a character that piques your interest, don't skip straight into combo trials. Actually give the character guides a chance!

They break down a character's strengths, what to look for in neutral, key moves in their toolkit, and more.

Get familiar with the terminology

Jumping in a new genre can be daunting. Oftentimes the game will throw terms at you that you might not be familiar with.

Maybe you check social media looking for cool combos to practice and get hit with a ton of fighting game lingo you've never heard of before. There's a neat solution to all your problems: the fighting game glossary!

There are over 800 fighting game terms with clean written and video explanations to ease a newcomer into the genre.

Getting salty is perfectly normal, but don't let that deter you from enjoying Street Fighter 6. Those are all of our tips!
