Super Smash Bros Ultimate is getting new spirits as part Capcom's celebrations of Street Fighter's 35th Anniversary, Nintendo announced on Twitter. Headlining the Capcom spirits is Evil Ryu, and as always, players will need it earn by defeating the spirit in a fight.
The spirit challenge begins January 14 and runs for five days, until January 19. Nintendo recently made the Metroid Dread spirits permanent additions to the spirit board, though it's unclear if these Capcom anniversary spirits will get the same treatment.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Gets Evil Ryu Spirit For Street Fighter's 35th Anniversary
Evil Ryu's spirit is a four-star neutral spirit that emphasizes offense over defense. At its base level, Evil Ryu boosts attack by 3,249 and defense by 1,392. Its special ability also improves fist attacks, making it perfect for Mario, Luigi, and the other fighting game guest characters such as Ken, Terry Bogard, and, of course, normal Ryu.
Other exclusive Street Fighter spirits will also be obtainable during this event, though Capcom and Nintendo didn't mention which ones.
