If you've recently upgraded to a new monitor and you've connected it to a PC or laptop with Windows 10, it's worth knowing how to change its refresh rate so you can get the most out of it.

The good news is that in most cases refresh rates are changed automatically thanks to your laptop or PC, however, in some circumstances you may need to change it manually.

If we take my current monitor as an example, it allows me to manually change the refresh rate from anywhere between 25hz to 60hz.

Step 1

Firstly, right-click on any blank area on your desktop home screen.

You will then be able to select your desired refresh rate from the 'Screen refresh rate' drop-down menu.
