To install a through the desk monitor arm, many of the steps are similar to the clamping mount, however, the clamp is replaced by a grommet style mount.

If your desk has an existing hole, such as a cable management hole, then you can use this to mount the monitor arm.

However, if your desk does not have a hole, you'll need to drill a hole into your desk where you would like to position the arm, using a drill bit that is slightly larger than the screw for the mount.

Step 1

Firstly, attach the mounting bracket which has the support screw into the bottom of the mounting arm. The support screw should be facing down.

Step 2

Secondly, stick the foam pads on the bracket to help protect your desk from dents and scratches.

Next, place the screw into the hole on your desk and tighten using the washer and knob. Ensure that the mount is secure, there should be no wobbling.
