After months of anticipation around the Scuf PS5 controller release date, the long awaits Reflex controllers have hit shelves.

As the first third-party PS5 controller designed with pros in mind, gamers will finally have a chance to dive into competitive titles and gain a much-needed advantage thanks to these feature-packed gamepads.

Let's take a look at what's new, and why we think they're an absolute must in any gamer's loadout.

SCUF Reflex PS5 Controllers

So there are three types versions of the Reflex controller, the Reflex, the Reflex Pro, and the Reflex FPS.

At the time of writing only the Reflex Pro has been released, however, it is sold out, unfortunately.

The other two are slated to be heading our way for 2022. An exact date isn't specified just yet, but we'll update you the moment we hear more.

LEVEL UP: This gamepad is designed to help you win big

The Reflex Pro features removable and remappable paddles which can make all the difference when playing competitively.

What these allow you to do is save valuable milliseconds that can be lost when you move your thumb from the thumbstick to press one of the buttons. A common example would be jumping while aiming for instance.

And as for the thumbsticks themselves, they're textured to increase grip and precision, which ultimately helps with accuracy in the game.

There are also three on-board profiles for your games, meaning that you can switch it up depending on what title you're playing.

And much like the DualSense, it features adaptive triggers, which will respond differently to different types of scenarios, such as using a bow or driving a car.

Weighing in at just 300g, around the same weight as a lightweight headset, and boasting wireless and wired connectivity (via USB-C), this controller looks like an absolute winner.

SCUF Reflex Pro Price And Availability

The PS5 Scuf Reflex Pro comes starts at £219.99, which is quite a hefty price tag, but not unusual looking at other controllers on the market, such as Razer's Wolverine entries or the Xbox Elite.

In terms of availability, we don't know when the next drop will be, however, you can sign up to be notified by SCUF themselves here.

We'll also be on high alert for any notifications and will update this article when we hear more.

COMING SOON: The base Reflex model is heading our way for 2022

The (anything but) standard entry in the lineup is practically the same as the Reflex Pro but lacks the HIgh-Performance grip.

It also comes in at £199.99, so if you fancy saving a bit of cash, this could be a good option for you.

As mentioned, this is slated for a 2022 release, and we'll keep you updated as to when it goes live.

ALL IN: Lightweight, with instant triggers.

The top dog in the group is the PS5 SCUF Reflex FPS. This controller features a non-slip performance grip and jettisons a few features to lighten the controller and make it better suited for first-person shooters.

The adaptive triggers are gone and replaced by instant triggers for lightning-fast reactions, and the rumble weights have been removed to keep this controller as lightweight as possible.

In fact, these changes have shaved almost 70g of the weight compared to the SCUF Reflex and Reflex Pro.

Unsurprisingly this is quite expensive and comes in at £249.99. That is around the price of an Xbox Series S, so it's nothing to sneeze at.

However, this is a pro controller, and we wouldn't be surprised to see some of the biggest names in gaming using this pad.

As always, we'll be back with you to update you as soon as we get word that the SCUF Reflex FPS is available to purchase.
