Tom Clancy’s The Division 3: Everything We Know So Far

Believe it or not, but Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has just turned six years old. Not only is it another reminder of how quickly time flies by, but it also begs the question—where on earth is the third installment?

Well, despite Ubisoft confirming that The Division 3 entered development at Massive Entertainment in late 2023, there has been little to no update since, leaving fans both disappointed and concerned.

With that said, here's everything we know about The Division 3 and when it could potentially be released.

When is The Division 3 Coming Out?

Whenever there is prolonged silence following the announcement of a new video game, it's normal to get a little worried about its development status. While all current indications point towards The Division 3 remaining in its development phase, a recent report suggests it's still a long way off.

Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson claims the third-person RPG shooter is unlikely to be released in 2025 or 2026 because Ubisoft is focusing on several other titles, such as Assassin's Creed Shadows and the new Ghost Recon.

This suggests that the earliest The Division 3 could launch is in 2027, although this is purely based on what the report states and is just a speculative guess.

However, should the report turn out to be accurate, it would explain the lack of updates from Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment. While The Division 3 is probably progressing well and still in the works, it sounds like it's a bit behind in the pecking order as other titles take priority for the time being.

This will no doubt cause mixed feelings among fans, who will feel reassured but also disappointed about the lengthy wait. The Division 1 and 2 were both commercial successes for Ubisoft, leading many to believe that the third installment would soon follow suit.

Unfortunately, that hasn't turned out to be the case, not yet, anyway. Ubisoft has remained silent on The Division 3 and it will likely stay that way until a significant milestone has been reached in its development.
