Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, the remastered pairing of the Birdman's first two virtual outings, is out now.

THPS 1 + 2: How To Speed Up

In THPS, you'll need to fill your "Special" meter in the top left of the screen,

Doing so just requires you to successfully land tricks, so get to it.

Grinds, grabs, flips and anything else that scores points will fill the bar, and once it's done, you'll be able to unleash your finest.

Each character has their own designated special move list, so there's no "one-size fits all" button.

Luckily, the pause menu has a full list under the "Skater" tab.

While some of the bigger moves require plenty of space and air to land properly, not all are aerial manoeuvers.

In fact, some skaters have special grinds or lip tricks.

Just be careful - bailing will not only kill your combo, but it'll empty your special meter, too!
