It'll be some time before we likely see Valorant Episode 4 Act 2. With Act 1 going live last month, Riot Games has kept us busy with a Lunar New Year Event in between but now, we know Act 2 will be looking to introduce Yoru's anticipated rework.
Speaking in a new State of the Agents article, John Gosicki (Producer) and Ryan Cousart (Game Designer) confirmed Riot's "aiming" to launch this rework in the next act. Better still, the pair outlined what changes can be expected.
Valorant Episode 4 Act 2 Introduces Yoru's Rework, Ability Changes Revealed
The most crucial change regards Fakeout, an ability that mimics Yoru's footsteps to throw off enemies. This now provides a full copy of Yoru that explodes when damaged, also debuffing enemies. You can find further details below:
Fakeout—an ability that currently directionally mimics the sound of Yoru’s footsteps to mislead enemies—is now a full copy of Yoru, that runs forward, and when damaged, explodes and debuffs enemies. As added flavor, when the copy is shot, it faces the direction of the person that fired the shot and flashes towards their position in a conal direction.
Dimensional Drift, Yoru's ultimate ability, has also been tweaked and here's the full changes being implemented:
Yoru is no longer revealed to enemies
Yoru is able to cast all utility while in Dimensional Drift
Enemies can hear Yoru’s footsteps
Nearsighted is removed
Unequip delay time is increased slightly
Cast delay added when casting Dimensional Drift, preventing the invulnerability frame on cast.
It's quite a hefty update for this Agent and we're looking forward to seeing how this plays out once live. Sadly, no further information was given about Episode 4 Act II, so we don't know when it'll launch. As soon as we hear more, we'll keep you informed.
