New in 2020 was a Christmas-themed Pepe outfit, which all players can earn by clicking on Pepe located by the Tree in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.

Previous expansion raids and dungeon bosses also get into the festive spirit, wearing Christmas-themed attire such as hats and decorations, but the only Shadowlands content with these hats as a drop was Devos, the final boss in the Spires of Ascension dungeon.

There are many patterns and recipes available from vendors throughout the event, which teach the players to create Christmas-themed items based on their professions.

A Feat of Strength achievement is also awarded to players who open the unique present each year.

What's new in 2021?

While nothing substantial was added to Winters Veil in 2020, the event ran shortly after the release of Shadowlands, which could be the reason behind no new content.

Blizzard tends to not share any new details behind new content for holiday events until the week of the event, so we will need to wait until December to see if anything new gets announced or data mined.
