With Microsoft confirming its E3 2021 showcase for June 13 and announcing that new Xbox Game Pass titles will be announced we thought it would be a good idea to speculate about what we might see come to the service.
This speculation ranges from big AAA games to smaller indie titles and more.
Persona 5 Royal
Speculation has been swirling for months and months about seeing Persona 5 Royal on Xbox and we think Microsoft could definitely make a splash by announcing the game for Xbox Game Pass.
People have believed "leaks" which haven't actually been real and there isn't really any evidence pointing to this happening, but Microsoft has a close relationship with SEGA and Atlus is the logical next step to take.
Rounding Out The Bethesda Line-up
As mentioned in our E3 predictions, a number of Bethesda titles aren't available on Xbox Game Pass right now and we expect Microsoft to add these, meaning the following games could be on their way:
- Dishonored: Death Of The Outsider
- DOOM (2016)
- Fallout 3
- Fallout New Vegas (PC and Cloud)
- Rage
- The Evil Within 2
- Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
Ubisoft Joins Game Pass Ultimate
Some suggestions and speculation has hinted that Microsoft behind the scenes has been looking to get Ubisoft Plus incorporated into Game Pass Ultimate, similar to how EA Play is available for subscribers right now.
We think at the very least some Ubisoft games will be joining Game Pass if not the whole service, likely a selection of Ubisoft's older titles such as Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and the Assassin's Creed Games from the mid 2010s.
More Multiplayer Games Launch Into The Service
In June, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will be launching directly into Xbox Game Pass and we think we could see some upcoming multiplayer games launch into the service.
Some of the games that seem likely include Rainbow Six: Quarantine/Parasite and Roller Champions from Ubisoft, Evil Dead: The Game, and Back 4 Blood.
It seems unlikely all of these games would come to the service, but we think a couple of them are possible.
Battlefield 6 Launches In Game Pass On Day 1
Journalists and insiders have reported that Microsoft is looking to get at least one big Fall game to launch directly into Game Pass.
Given Microsoft's close relationship with EA, many have said that Battlefield 6 is the most likely candidate and we think Microsoft will confirm the game's Game Pass launch on Sunday the 13th.
Multiple AAA Games Available Today
As has happened in the past, we expect Microsoft to drop multiple games on Sunday, likely big titles, especially as June's lineup was relatively light.
Here are a few guesses we pulled out of a hat:
- Balan Wonderworld
- Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time
- Fuser
- Hitman 3
- Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate
- NieR Replicant
- Subnautica: Below Zero
- Twin Mirror
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood
So, those are our best guesses as to what we might see. What do you think Xbox Game Pass will add on Sunday?
