Nintendo has confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has been delayed until Spring 2023. Speaking in a new video, series producer Eiji Aonuma presented a brief update, after Nintendo previously announced it'd arrive in 2022.
Speaking in detail, Aonuma stated:
I have an update to share on the launch timingof the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We previously announced that we were aiming for a 2022 release for this game. However, we have decided to extend our development time a bit and change the release to Spring 2023.

Elaborating further, Aonuma advised viewers "For those of you who have been looking forward to a release this year, we apologise." He then goes into a recap about Breath of the Wild's sequel, which we previously saw at E3 2021, but with some new Master Sword footage. You can find the full video below.
While it's disappointing for Zelda fans, it follows a trend of main entries getting delayed. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023, and we'll keep you updated with further news as it happens.
